When Cole is healed he will have to deal with the anger. He has to get over, and put the bad behind him. Cole will need to start over.
can you give examples of his bad past
Cole needs to try to put his life back together, but he can't just try to act like what happened in the past never happened. He needs to make peace with the people and families he has hurt.
I would say that Cole's biggest problem moving forward is fixing the mess he created when he goes back to Minneapolis. People are afraid of him and restoring the trust he has broken with his friends and family will be hard.
the thing holding Cole back right now is his past and the mistakes he made For example when he robbed the hardware store or when he beat Peter up. when he does things like that it makes people not want to trust him, and he has been doing this for a long time it is made apparent in the book many times by people such as Peters Lawyer and Cole.
When Cole gets all healed up, he will be sent back to the island or jail and will have to start to control his anger even more
What do you mean by getting healed.
I mean that he needs to physically get healed from his injuries. ;-;
The question says beside physical condition.
I think that Cole's biggest challenge is getting his life back together because of all the bad things he has done. For Example he smashed someones head on the ground.
One of Cole's biggest challenges moving forward is dealing with jail and all the times he got in trouble. He has to deal with all the blame of his bad actions in his past life.
can you give an example please.
I think the biggest challenge for Cole going forward is going home and facing the people he hurt, taking responsibility for the things he has done, and all the work he is going to have to do to build up his reputation.
Cole is scared from the bear. After he was attacked and rescued he couldn't stop thinking about the bare. Cole thinks, "The Spirit Bear was also a memory that would never disappear from his mind or heart" (Milkaelsen 112). Not only did the Spirit bear hurt Cole, but it also helped him. It made Cole understand that he isn't as tough a he believes he is.
The mistakes Cole has made in his past may come back up in his future. Cole may have had some changes to his personality after his experience on the island. He might want to change his way of doing things, however with all that he has done wrong the people around him may not trust him. Knowing Cole this may make him very angry, and become one of the biggest challenges in his life.
The challenges that Cole had to face right now is him having to rebuild his life. What i mean by this is when he got to the island he was a mean and nasty person but when he left the island he left with a changed perspective about life. So now when he gets back home he will have to build a new reputation as a nicer person.
I think Cole's biggest challenge would be putting the past behind him, and getting rid of all his anger. Also Cole taking responsibility for his actions.
His biggest problem would be trying to put his life back together and start his life back over. He need to start improving. The island did change the way he views about the world, having a connection with nature. His behavior did maybe change after going through that horrifying journey.
Besides Cole's physical condition, I think that going back to his town where everybody doesn't care for him would be his biggest challenge now that he's off the island. I also agree with CJ because Cole will now have to go back and fix every little mistake that he has made like trying to reconnect with his parent and apoligizing to Peter.
