Cole is controlling his own story by not making very good choices, and doing things he is going to regret doing, but hopefully he will learn from his mistakes and make better choices now.

Cole is controlling the story by telling himself that if he likes the cake, the ingredients might be okay too.
"If I like the cake, maybe the ingredients are okay too" (Mikaelsen 110) . #

What he does will always come back to him. so if he is nice people will be nice to him. If he is mean people will be mean back.

Cole is controlling his story very badly. he is on a deserted island and was mauled by a bear. his actions have been so bad he might have to go to jail for them and he injured a kid so bad that he has permanent damage. his story is leading into a place of bad and i dont think he wants that to happen.

According to the text the narrator states,"Cole couldn't believe his parents were letting this happen to him. What jerks! He hatted his parents"(Mikaelsen 9). This shows that he is angry at his parents and that he his choosing to act this way towards him. The things they have done is taking control Cole state of mind.

The way Cole is controlling his story is by he makes HIS OWN bad decisions that reflect of himself but, he blames other people for his actions. In the text the author says "Cole figured he wouldn't even be here if Peter Driscal had known how to fight back" (Mikaelsen 8).

He is controlling the story of his life by doing the stuff he wants to do. In the beginning of the story Cole beat up a kid named Peter for snitching on him. He controlled what he did because he didn't have to beat him up but because Peter snitched on Cole. Cole thought he could get his anger out on Peter.

Cole has anger problems and its up to him to fix it. When cole beat up peter it was his own doing and no one else forced him to do anything.

<<< for example the author says "What luck Cole thought. To end up on an island with a stupid bear that didn't have the brains enough to runaway" (Mikaelsen 68). In this sentence he is blaming the bear for his mistake of attacking the bear.

Cole can control his life right now because in justice circle Cole had faked his emotions on how he felt about hurting peter. For example Cole said "He liked the reaction he saw. People heard what they wanted to hear."(Mikaelsen 40)

Cole is controlling his own story because he chooses to make bad decisions and act like he is better than everyone. He may change his story while in the hospital after surviving the bear attack because he will have time to think while being in the hospital.

Cole is controlling the story of his life with his actions. In the first Chapter page 7 Cole beats up Peter and is sent to the detention center. In chapter 8 Cole"When Cole advance brought him within ten feet of the Spirit Bear,he made his move.He flung the spear with all his strength, fully intending to kill." (Mikaelsen 65)Cole was attacked and injured in this chapter because he tried to kill the bear.

Cole controls the story by his own actions. On page 120 the author states "It was just trying to protect itself because I tried to kill it" (Mikaelsen120). This proves that Cole tried to kill the bear because it wasn't scared of him. Cole controls his actions by there's a problem and a solution and Cole thought he could kill the bear.

Cole doesn't think about the possible repercussions of his actions. An example of this is when Cole burns down his shelter.
